Dan is a founding partner and current director and shareholder of the firm. His experience is in Estate Planning and Administration, Estate, Gift and Transfer Tax Law, Protection of the Rights of Elderly Persons and Tax Planning and Litigation. He can be described as “thoughtful,” “professional” and “results-oriented.”

Prior to founding Hurley Re Attorneys at Law in 1995, he was partner with Bryant, Lovlien, Jarvis and Lynch.

He became a member of the Oregon State Bar in 1980 and graduated cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law. Dan also received his L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida. He earned his B.S. from the University of Oregon.

Active in the legal arena, Dan has served on the Oregon State Bar Executive Committee. He is also a former member and chair of the Estate Planning and Administration Section.

When not at the firm, Dan photographs and fly fishes in Central Oregon, Alaska and the Tropics. His wildlife and scenic photography are featured throughout our offices, including the exterior office photo on our home page.
