Chris practices in the areas of Business Law, Real Estate Law, Tax Planning and Litigation, and Construction Law. He is a director and shareholder in the firm and is often described as “genuine,” “focused” and “tenacious.” 

Prior to joining Hurley Re in 1996, Chris was Senior Attorney with District Council for the Internal Revenue Service.

He became a member of the Oregon State Bar in 1987 and received his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law. While there, he served on the Law Review. He earned his B.S. in History from the University of Oregon.

As a speaker, Chris has given talks to numerous professional organizations on subjects such as “Oregon Foreclosures” and “Taxation of Personal Injury Awards.”

Chris spends his free time climbing the peaks of mountains in the Northwest and outrigger paddling. He also carries a Second Degree Black Belt in Judo.
